Monday sees the first episode of Arthur and George in a three-part adaptation of Julian Barnes’ acclaimed novel for ITV. Some of the scenes were shot at one of the cottages on the estate. There is also a horse pulling a plough scene which was filmed on Great Almonds just off of the Home Farm drive.

Martin Clunes plays the celebrated novelist and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Written by Ed Whitmore, the drama is based on true events in the life of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who famously created the detective Sherlock Holmes.
