The Gaddesden Estate has been welcoming film crews since the 1960s, with recent productions ranging from Hollywood blockbusters to fashion shoots. We can offer almost any type of landscape setting, from fields, rolling parkland and woodland, to riverside and formal gardens, while our buildings include pre-War and Victorian cottages, an 18th century mansion house, traditional farm buildings and stabling from various eras.
We have covered spaces suitable for set builds, and level ground for exterior sets. We can generally accommodate any size of unit base, and can often provide specialist equipment and assistance when required.
In total we’re home to around 30 different businesses, several of which are also involved in the film & creative industries. These include The Stampede Stunt company, who provide trained horses for film & photoshoots, and Kube Rigging, who specialise in film/TV rigging equipment and drape hire.
